Amazing tall Italian Empoli art glass decanter with a golden amber or dark yellow color with a thin tall pointed stopper. This vintage decanter has a larger bulbous body and tapers up to a thin neck. There s a bubbled (raised) elongated oval pattern all over the bottle. The stopper has raised round bubbles all over it. The bottle is a slight oval shape at the widest section but is round at the base. This gives the body of this retro glass bottle a somewhat different shape. "MADE IN ITALY" is on the bottom of this amber glass piece.
As I believe it is blown glass, it has the typical bubbles, variations in thickness in the glass. There is a seam on one side, however.
This mid century decanter was made in Italy, and is the type that was very popular in the mid century mod and Hippie period.
The decanter with the stopper inside measures about 22" tall. The stopper alone is about 7" long. The decanter is about 5 1/2" in diameter at the base, the widest part. The end of the stopper has a plastic piece that is split on one side.
In nice vintage condition with light wear. No chips or cracks in the bottle/decanter. Some cloudiness at the bottom of the decanter.
Marked Made in Italy on the bottom.
