This lovely white with gold accent designs on this ironstone teapot made in Staffordshire, England by Sadler Co. It has a great traditional shape and is ribbed vertically giving this a unique look. See NOTE about the Sadler Co. below. This teapot is circa 1940s.
The lid has gold floral designs all around the knob. The top of the body had a hanging leaf or garland design around the top.
There are gold lines of trim are on the portions of the spout, handle and the top of the knob on the lid. There are also gold trimmed lines around the top opening, the teapot body top and bottom sections. These gold lines seem to highlight the ribbed body section of this teapot.
Measures 5.5" tall and 9 " from handle to the spout. The bottom of the teapot is stamped SADLER - ENGLAND. The letters and numbers that appear to be that are hand painted in gold as well.
In nice vintage condition with some crazing all over this retro teapot - see photo closeups. A small chip near the led - see last photo. Some discoloring here and there. Gold trim is in fairly nice shape with some wear - see photos for detail. Item’s price reflects condition.
NOTE:
The Sadler Co. of Staffordshire, England was started by James Sadler in 1882. He made pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. His first teapots were known as “Brown Betty" and were made of red clay and finished with a dark brown glaze.
Sadler Company was purchased by Churchill China in the early 2000s. The numbers and letter “3095 D” on the bottom of this teapot refers to the design number.

The Teapot was absolutely beautiful! I have to rave on how it was packaged! I was a little concerned about delicate items being sent, however the seller had wrapped it extremely securely! I was super impressed!!! I would absolutely buy through them again without hesitation!
