Striking and tall hand blown cased glass vase with a swirled and paneled design of purple and white glass cased in clear glass. The bottom and top edges show the layer of clear glass.
The bottom is smooth with no ribs but as the vase goes upward and fans out, soft panels are formed. The tops of these panels turn into the scalloped edges of the top of the vase. The top opening is not a perfect circle but takes a flowing turn, opening up wider here and there as it goes around.
Quite a hefty piece as the glass is thick and this vase is tall.
The vase weighs 5 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment - it is substantial.
The top of this retro vase measures approx. 10” across and is about 15 1/2” high at the highest point.
Pontil marks are on bottom and there bubbles in the glass here and there, typical of handblown glass.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
Very nice and eye-catching home decor piece!
