A classic large sized and very chipped Blessed Mother Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe statue that is in shades of ivory, turquoise blue, peach pink, light brown or tan, green, red/pink, gold and tan colors with a black base. This vintage statue is unmarked and is very lightweight. The statue is chalkware but it appears to be hollow making it lighter than most chalkware statues.
Mary stands on a cloud that has an angel with wings under it. There are pink/red roses on either side. She is circa 1940s or 1950s. This statue of the Blessed Mother is very chippy making it a great shabby chic piece. See photos for detail of her chipping. Her complexion and the angels as well are a dark tan color.
Mary's dark turquoise robe has a lighter blue colored lining. There are gold stars on her robe. Her dress underneath is peach pink with a gold design on it. The color is deepest in the folds of her garments. The dress flows down in folds from her belted waistband.
The Blessed Mother statue stands 16 1/2" inches tall and is about 4 1/2" across at the widest point - the base.
Mary has a crack in the center (see last photo) and is very chipped all over. Lots of wear that shows her vintage age - she is truly shabby chic.
