3 Vintage Fairfield Laser Blue Comports by Anchor Hocking Sherbet Champagne Glasses w/Rim -Three Retro Heavy Dessert Glass Stemware Barware

$18.75 $25.00

Bright and beautiful, set of 3 (three) Fairfield Laser blue comport/ sherbet or coupe style champagne glasses by Anchor Hocking. Glasses could also be used for cocktails or martinis as they are very eye-catching and unique.

What is a comport? It is a large English glass dish of the 18th century used for holding fruit or candy and having a wide, shallow top supported by heavy stem and foot.

The top edges of these comport dishes are scalloped. The bowl section has a series of oval shapes that intersect each other all the way around it. The stem has panel shapes that then flare as they do down to shape the base of these glasses. There is an approx. 1/2" plain edge around the bases.

These glasses are quite hefty weighing approx. 14 oz. each before packaging for shipment. They hold approx. 6 ounces - 7 ounces to the very rim.

There are seams and some bubbles appear in the glass as is typically seen in vintage glasses. I believe this set is circa mid century.

Measure approx. 3 1/2" high. Top opening is about 4 1/4" across. Base has a 3" diameter.

Condition: In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
