An adorable vintage teapot with a very unique design.
The background color is white on this compact tea vintage pot. There is a peach pink colored wash on most of the body that has a design of beautiful turquoise blue five-petaled flowers on winding branches. The branches cover one side of the spout while the other is plain. The base of the branches are a dark brown while the leaves are a lighter shade of brown.
The top knob on the lid is shaped like crosses timbers like what one would expect on an Oriental pagoda - very unique!
Best guess for age is circa mid century when the US market was flooded with such items manufactured in Japan.
This cute retro teapot measures 6 1/2” tall with the lid on. Without the lid it is 5” tall. The little teapot measures 7” across from the end of the handle to the tip of the spout.
It holds 3 cups or 24 ounces.
It is in nice condition with no chips or cracks. Slight wear commensurate with vintage age - see photos for details.
