Vintage ORIENTAL Ginger JAR Traditional Large Urn w/ Lid & Stand - Home Decor Black Multi Color Heavy Ginger Jar Chinese

Vintage ceramic Oriental Ginger Jar with a lid that is on a black stand. The pattern features a black background with an abstract multicolored floral pattern that seems to swirl all over the jar. The colors include pink, peach, shades of green, blue, lavender and some yellow.

The round lid has colorful designs as well. There is a red hallmark stamp inside the lid that is a triangle with a figure inside that I believe is in Chinese.

The black square base has curled edges and a slightly indented ring in the center where the jar sits. The bottom has small felt pieces at each corner to protect the surface it is placed upon from scratching. I believe the base is made of wood that is painted black.

This type of Ginger Jar was popular in the 1970s as a home decor item. This one is large and would be a great home decor piece.

Jar with lid on the base - 13" high. The jar has a 7" diameter at its widest part.
Base alone - 1" high

Weighs more than 5 lbs. before packaging for shipment.

In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light wear on bottom of the lid and the jar as well as on the surface of the base. Wear is as would be expected an item that is circa 1970s.
