Vintage E Miller Co Brass and Glass Small Hurricane Lamp Antique Kerosene Oil - Miniature Small Hurricane Collectible Home Decor E M & Co

$76.50

Sorry, this item has sold.

An antique brass and glass lamp made by the . This mini oil lamp comes with a clear glass globe that has a ruffled or frilled top edge. This lamp is hallmarked for the E Miller Co. on the screw piece on the side. The Edward Miller & Co. (1844-1924) was located in Meriden, Connecticut. It was best known as a historical manufacturer of lamps, but it also made brass kettles and oil heaters.

Measures 5" tall. Base is 5" in diameter.

The hallmark on the screw piece for turning a wick says E. MILLER CO Made in USA.

The top flips up so you can see the holder for the wick. But for the life of me, I can't figure out how one would open this lamp to add oil. Usually, the top under the wick comes off but this is not the case. There is a wick inside because I wound it down trying to figure out how to open this up. Still scratching my head...

In nice antique / vintage condition.
