Westmoreland Milk Glass Wedding Cake Box / Bowl - White Candy Jar or Compote w/ Lid - Glass Pedestal Dish Square Circa 1950 Home Decor

Sorry, this item has sold.

A Westmoreland Square white milk glass Glass Tall Candy Dish, Candy Jar or Wedding Cake Box from the 1950s. This piece has a unique square shape on the top section as well as on the base. A distinct finial is on the top and center pedestal section complete this jar's design.

This type of glass box was meant for the bride and groom to be able to take a piece of wedding cake home. It could be used for the same for any wedding today and would also make a great candy dish or home decor accent piece.

Measures 7 1/2" tall to top of the knob on the lid. It is 4" wide. The base sides are 2 1/2" long. The base without the lid on it is 5 1/3" high.

For its size, this is a heavy piece - weighs 2 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.

In nice vintage condition. There is a chip on the bottom rim of the lid - it looks like the lid is missing one of the scalloped edge pieces. See photo close up. Item’s price reflects condition.

Still a great piece of retro home decor!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
