A set of two matching wood trays with a bright flower design in the centers that is a lithograph on wood. These two rectangular trays were made by the Haskelite Company. The ends of the trays are bowed. They feature a center colorful flower bouquet design with shades of blue, yellow, pink, orange, red, white, burgundy and teal flowers with green leaves. The outside edges even some variegated handles on the ends and a raised design in the wood at the corners - see photos for detail.
These 2 mid century trays are identical.
The trays are a large sized serving tray and are stamped in the back - HASKO, MADE OF SELECTED WOOD COVERED WITH FINE LITHOGRAPH PAPER, U.S. PATENT NO. 2,231,345 HASKELITE MFG. CORP, CHICAGO ILL.
The Haskelite Manufacturing Corporation was in business from 1917–1956. It was located on Broadway Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They manufactured haskelite plywood for a wide variety of applications and vehicles - and trays, of course!
The trays measure 18" long x 11" wide. They are about 1/4" thick.
The brightly colored pair are in nice vintage condition with light wear commensurate with vintage age with some wear marks and chipping here and there. See photos for detail.
