A fabulous set of three matching Murano Art Glass picture frames. The art glass frames, a set of three coordinating frames, are a light and dark amber color block patterns with little white and yellow millefiori flowers at the corners. Each art glass picture frame has a clear glass stand in the back. The largest frame has 4 millefiori flowers in between the color blocks; the next size down has 3 flowers between the color blocks and the smallest frame has 2 little flowers in the band between the amber color blocks.
This type of millefiori design is commonly used in art glass. These little flowers of ornamental glass are produced by cutting cross sections of fused bundles of glass rods of various colors and sizes.
Because each Murano Glass art glass piece is unique and made by hand, there are slight variations of colors and patterns - see photos for detail.
The three different sizes frames are:
- largest is 6" high x 5" wide (inner frame picture area is 3 3/4" x 3")
- medium size is 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" wide (inner frame picture area is 3" x 2")
- smallest is 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" (inner frame picture area is 2 1/2" x 1 3/4")
The Murano art glass frames are in great vintage condition with two of the three still having their original paper inserts in place. They appear never to have been used.
The paper inside the two frames reads “Arte di Murano, Produotto con vetro di Murano, Made in Italy".
