A classic large sized and very chipped Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Heaven statue that is in pale shades of ivory, turquoise blue, peach pink, brown and tan colors with a dark gray base. This chalkware statue was made by Columbia Statuary and is marked on the back CS 113.
Mary stands on a serpent that is under her feet. She looks downward in humility. She is circa 1940s or 1950s. This statue of the Blessed Mother is very chippy making it a great shabby chic piece. See photos for detail of her chipping. Item's price reflects her condition.
Mary's turquoise robe has a very washed out peach pink colored lining - the robe itself is more of a very light turquoise in color. Her dress underneath is pale ivory with a blush of pink on the inside. The color is deepest in the folds of her garments. The dress flows down in folds from her belted waistband.
Mary's veil is a very light tan color and her robe is a pale pale turquoise with gold colored trim on the edges.
The globe she stands on is a light blue. Her feet are on a brown snake. The square base of this statue has angled corners and it is painted in a dark grey color.
The Blessed Mother statue stands 13 1/2" inches tall and is about 5 1/2" across at the widest point - her hands. The sides of the base measure approx. 4".
Mary is very chipped, and has wear that shows her vintage age all over- she is truly shabby chic. There looks to be some paint touch ups on her base and face areas.
