A vintage signed art glass vase that was made in Sweden by Granna Glas. The metallic finished vase has an abstract design all over that includes some rectangle shapes, drips, and a bit of texture where a finish has been put over the smooth glass underneath. There is a copper or bronze colored finish over the top edge, the base and about 1/2 of the side of this tall and rather heavy home decor item.
This retro vase was made by Granna Sweden as signed on the bottom. Best guess is this is late mid century in age.
This mid century art glass vase is heavy. It has a metallic finish with a mottled design of black, gold, brown, silver, and yellow glass. The base is black with a slight copper/gold colored finish. The bottom of the vase above the base is clear cased glass.
Measures 10" tall and is about 3 1/2” wide at widest part. The base as a 3 1/2” diameter. The vase weighs more than 2 lbs. 10 oz. before packaging for shipment.
The artist’s name also appears to be etched on the bottom. It appears to be “Design - B. Gon”. Signature is hard to read - see photo.
The eye-catching Scandinavian home decor piece is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some wear to the gold/copper colored finish on the upper rim - see photo closeups. Price reflects condition.
