A classic large sized Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Heaven statue that is in beautiful shades of turquoise blue, peach or salmon pink, ivory and light green chalkware colors with a gray base. This statue was made by Columbia Statuary and is marked on the back CS 113.
She stands on a serpent that is under her feet. She is striking as her face is beautiful as she looks downward in humility. She is circa 1940s or 1950s. This statue of the Blessed Mother is very chippy making it a great shabby chic piece.
Mary's turquoise robe has a soft peach pink colored lining - the robe itself is more of a turquoise in color. Her dress underneath is pale ivory and it flows down in folds from her belted gold waistband and a gold collar. Mary's veil is a light tan color and has a gold trim along the edges. The globe she stands on is a mint green. Some gold stars are also at her feet. The square base of this statue has angled corners in a brown color.
She stands 17" inches tall and is about 7" across at the widest point. The sides of the base measure approx. 4 1/2".
Mary is chippy, especially around the base area, and has wear commensurate with her vintage age all over- see photos for detail. There looks to be some subtle paint touch ups on her hands and face areas.
