Vintage Viking Budvase Ruby - Tall Amberina Vase Red Yellow Stretched Swung Pulled Glass - Mid Century Retro Home Decor

Sorry, this item has sold.

Lovely red and orange tall art glass pedestal vase with thumbprint designs at the base and up the sides.

This type of tall swung vase was very popular in the mid century and were made by a number of companies including Viking Glass, LE Smith and Fenton.

This thumbprint vase is mostly red glass but has a top edging of orange that was called amberina. I believe this is a Viking Glass bud vase in Ruby #1465.

The vase body is round but has rows of oval indentations at the bottom bulbous portion. The top row of these ovals stretch upward into the vase giving it a slight paneled shape.

The very top of the vase where it has the orange glass is scalloped, and the opening is taller on one side than the other.

The stem that leads from the body of the vase to the very bottom has panels. The very base section is round and plain with no decoration.

Measures 16” tall and the base has a 3 1/2” diameter.

No cracks or chips on the vase. Light wear commensurate with vintage age.

Love the orange color at the top around the very upper edge that fades to red into the main section, the bulk of this large home decor piece.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
