Vintage Sterling Silver Clear Faceted Encased Filigree Beads - Rosary Hallmarked STERLING CAP w/ Ornate Cross - Retro Religious Prayer Beads
This 5 decade Sterling Silver rosary has clear faceted beads and each one is encased in an unusual metal cage. The beads in between the decades (the pater beads) have a cage on the top and bottom while the other beads (the mater beads) have a cap or cage only on one end.
The crucifix has ornate floral designs on the ends, with a filigree look to compliment the ornate filigree caps or cages in each of the beads. On the back of the cross at the bottom it says CAP and under that is says STERLING.
The medal on the center section has Jesus with ha Sacred Heart exposes on the front and has Mary holding baby Jesus in the back. On the back of the medal it says STERLING.
The Rosary measures 23 1/4” in length. The crucifix is 2” in length and 1 1/2” across.
The cages on the clear faceted glass beads and the links between the beads have patina as would be expected a vintage item that is circa mid century.
