A large and substantial lime green satin glass pedestal bowl made by the Indiana Glass Company. This color was called Garland Green Frosted and it is rather hard to find.
This particular bowl was referred to as a Comport, which means a bowl, usually with a base and stem, used to serve fruits, nuts or sweets.
The comport bowl has a scalloped top edge and a cluster of three raised teardrop (rounds) shapes at the bottom of each scallop and some on the stem as well.
This pedestal bowl or dish is and was made by the Indiana Glass Co.
Measures approx. 7 1/4" high. It has an 8 1/4" diameter across the top. The base has a 4" diameter.
This retro pedestal dish is quite hefty weighing in at 4 1/2 lbs. Before packaging for shipment.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some light use marks here and there commensurate with vintage age. Item's price reflects its condition.
