A very mod mod pair of dark cobalt blue candle pottery holders made in Italy that are from the mid century. The pair are signed on the bottom ITALY 6956 PV. They also have small green felt pads on the bottom to prevent them from scratching the surface they are put on. The two matching vintage candle holders are on the heavy side, weighing in about about 3 1/2 pounds before packaging for shipment. These very distinctive dark blue candle holders stand out because of the side of the bottom bases, the size of the handles and their height. You can't miss this retro pair! While they are signed ITALY, the style is very much like a Steuler design that was popular in the 1960s.
The pair of mod mod candleholders have a great large handle and a very wide base section. There are some decorative rows of rings on the neck near the handle and again near the base.
The 2 tall candle holders measure 7" high. The bases are approx. 6 1/2" across.
In nice vintage condition with slight wear here and there - they really still look great.
