Vintage Chantal Teakettle - Chantal Apple Red Enamel Teapot with Blue Enamel Interior - Vintage Tea Pot w/ Cone Shape Mod Modern Kitchen
A vintage red teakettle by Chantal (hallmark is on the top handle in the chrome). This teapot is in nice condition and has an unusual shape that is rather like a cone with a wide base and narrowing at the top. The handle is an open design that is easy to grab. The knob on the lid is also open and has the CHANTAL marking on the center of it. The lid has one little extended area on it to help keep it in place when it is on the body.
In nice vintage shape with some wear commensurate with vintage age on the exterior - This red kettle is circa 1980s. There is a chipped spot of enamel on the lid - see photos and a slight bit of wear to the enamel on the very tip of the spout. Some crazing on the bottom as well. Item's price reflects these conditions.
The interior of the kettle including the lid is wonderful - nice blue enamel with very little wear inside.

This cheerful red teakettle holds about 1.75 quarts of liquid. The handle stays surprisingly cool to the touch when the kettle is filled with boiling hot water.
