A vintage music box beer stein that plays "Roll Out the Barrel" slowly as one drinks. It was made by the Apex company. This ceramic beer stein still has the original sticker from APEX still intact on the bottom. The fun thing about this beer glass is that is only plays its music when it is lifted up. When placed down, it stops playing music.
The design on the stein is brown, blue, pink, green, rust, yellow and features a woman dancing and a man playing a flute. The back has a solid brown landscape scene of a house with mountains and trees in the background. The bottom edge has small cherubs or angels playing horns interspersed with some half rounded or scalloped shapes. The handle is like a tree branch and has a leaf on it near the mid section. The label on the bottom is red foil with gold and it says APEX QUALITY Japan.
The lid is silver colored plastic. The interior of this tall mug is in great shape and looks like it was never used.
Measures 9 1/3" tall. The top opening has a 2 1/2" diameter. The base has a 4" diameter.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks - interior is in great shape. Music box still plays.
