Vintage Soapstone Jar w/ Round Lid - Brown Tan Stone Urn Container - Pedestal Base & Lid w/ Pointed Knob - Heavy Jar Retro Home Decor
A large and vintage soapstone jar with a lid. The two-piece jar has a round pedestal base. The top has a knob that has a rounded point on it. The insides show how this jar was turned to be made as you can see the circular lines. The exterior is a polished and shiny finish.
The color on this lidded jar is a light brown with lots of grey, darker brown flecks in it - a mottled light brown probably best describes it.
The retro jar or urn has a round green faux velvet piece on the bottom to protect any surface you would place it on from scratching.
Measures 9 3/4" tall. This retro lidded jar has a 5 1/2" diameter at its widest section. The top opening has a 3 3/4" diameter. The base has a 4 1/4" diameter.
This jar is rather heavy weighing in at 4 3/4 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
In nice vintage condition with light wear and some scratches commensurate with vintage age. See photos for detail.
