Unique shaped vase - this piece is a thin vertical oval shape that is black enamel on brass. This unique two handled vase has quite a bit of design work on both sides that feature different colors of inlaid materials. There is a copper, a silver and a darker color on top of the brass that makes up most of this home decor vase.
The design on the front features three colors of inlay images of birds, a plant, a flower and a mountain. The base has an inlaid design of 2 animals that look like lamas and a circle. The handles have an eagle type of bird's head at the base and end with a curl where they attach at the widest part of the vase body.
There are stripes of copper color and a darker color on the collar on the top. Quite striking.
Whether using it to display a plant or floral arrangement it is sure to elevate the level of beauty in your home decor.
This mid century piece is solid Brass and most likely copper for the inlaid pieces.
Measures 8 1/2" tall and 4 1/4' wide at widest point (across the handles). The base has a 2 1/2" diameter.
It is in nice vintage condition with lots of patina as would be expected a vintage item. This vase is most likely circa 1970s.
