Description: This amber glass pitcher is beautifully hand blown. It is a lighter brown or amber color with darker brown swirls. The darker brown areas look like animal spots on the bottom (think giraffe) and elongate into long lines swirling up to the top. The handle is only the lighter/amber color.
This heavy piece is made with hand blown glass, giving it quality that current glassware lacks - there are small bubbles in various places and also a thicker glass bottom.
Condition: It is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The pitcher is made of brown and amber colored glass and does not have any markings on it. There is an air bubble/oval shaped imperfection that happened during the making of this piece. It's best seen in the fourth picture above - on the inside of the glass, less than 1/4'' wide and only noticeable upon detailed inspection.
Size: Measures about 8 1/2" high. Base has a 4 1/2" diameter. Top opening is 4 1/4"" across on the short side and 4 1/2" across to the spout (5 3/4'' wide including handle).
Great mid sized pitcher for entertaining, display, or everyday use.
