What a beautiful and eye-catching vintage tray made by the American Art Ware by the American Art Works Inc. Co. of Coshocton, Ohio. The original sticker from the company is still intact on the back.
This company (AAW) became the best-known company thanks to its production of Coca-Cola trays. The AAW made at least 24 different full-sized Coke trays as well as millions of items as advertising novelties for other companies in the early part of the 20th century. Best guess is this tray is circa mid century.
The black background and brass/gold colored openwork trim and rings of designs around the center cluster of flowers make this round tray catch the eye. The pink, red, white, lavender, blue, yellow and green colored floral bouquet in the center stands out against the dark background of this vintage serving or kitchen decor item.
Measures 15" in diameter and is about 1" high.
This retro tray is in nice vintage condition with some light scratching as would be expected from use. Gold or brass tone frame is in good vintage condition with light signs of wear. See photos for details.
