Beautiful and classic vintage vermeil heart shaped locket necklace with an etched design on the front. (Vermeil is a thin layer of gold over a base metal which in this case is sterling silver. ) The locket is stamped STERLING on the inside.
The front of this locket features an etched floral and leaf design on the left side and a sun and rays on the right side. The beveled edges of the heart shape have a decorative markings all around them as well.
The back of the locket has no etched design. The locket hangs on a 14K gold filled fine link chain with a spring ring clasp.
The interior of the locket contains two photo compartments with frames for each still intact. The locket opens and closes securely as does the spring ring clasp on the chain.

Chain: 16'' long.
Locket: 1'' long and approx. 3/4" wide.
Weighs 5.9 grams (locket with chain)
Locket is marked STERLING on the inside.
Chain: marked 14K GF on the clasp.
In nice vintage condition with use marks and wear commensurate with vintage age - circa mid century.
