An ornate mid century wall shelf that is stunning. The vintage shelf is a resin or plastic material that is painted gold. It is meant to look like gold painted carved wood or possibly metal.
It has some great scrolling lines on the bottom of the shelf portion and on the sides and end of the decorative support that runs vertically from the top of the shelf's center to about 11" downward. There are also some small round flower shapes in three places on the lip of the shelf. This type of shelf was popular in the mid century and many were made of Syroco. This is not marked as Syroco but feels similar in weight to it.
The retro Hollywood Regency style shelf has two holes in the top that would be used to attach this to a wall.
Measures approx. 14" across the top. It is about 5 1/4" deep. From the shelf to the bottom of the decorative "support" is 11".
This vintage wall decor shelf is rather lightweight for its look. It weighs only 1 lb. and 3 oz. before packaging for shipment.
In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Wear all over commensurate with vintage age. See photos for detail.
