Vintage Wood and Sons of Burslem, England teapot and sugar bowl in white with gold trim. The teapot has 8 sides and has a great decorative and unusual gold pattern under the spout. The lids, handles and the spout on these octagonal pieces have gold on them. There are also some horizontal gold lines on each. The lids and top opening for both the teapot and sugar bowl also have eight sides.
Would make wonderful home or kitchen decor items or can be used for tea as well.
The two matching pieces measure:
Teapot - 9" across from tip of spout to end of handle. 6 1/2" high to top of knob on the lid. Measures 6" in diameter.
Sugar bowl - 6" across from tip of handle to tip of handle. 4" high to top of knob on the lid. Measures 4" in diameter.
Bottoms stamped with the hallmark and say WOOD & SONS BURSLEM ENGLAND and have a crown on the top. The stamp is dark green.
The teapot is in very nice vintage condition with no chips, cracks and slight wear. The gold is in nice antique condition. There is more wear to the gold on the sugar bowl. See photos for detail. Items are priced to reflect these conditions.
