Very feminine glass jar with a lid that is clear glass with some hand painted designs on the lid. The jar itself is round and has a ribbed elongated oval shaped knob on the lid. The jar or dish is pressed glass and the bottom has a nice bit of circular elements in the bottom. The sides are ribbed with different sized panels. The top has a scalloped edge and also has panels or ribs that are of different sizes.
On every other of the larger ribs or panels, there is a turquoise blue color painted on them and at the end, a pink rose. There are some small pink and green dots leading up to the end rose. The center under the knob on the lid is also the turquoise blue. There is some chipping and wear on the painted areas, making this a perfect shabby chic bedroom or bathroom decor piece. This covered dish or jar is on the heavy side and is a nice larger size.
Measures 6 1/2" in diameter. To the top of the lid, it is 4 1/2" high. The bottom section alone is 2" high.
This lidded jar weighs 2 lbs. and 5 oz. before packaging for shipment.
This glass jar is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. The painted areas have some paint loss - see photos for detail.
