New, still folded and tied up inside a box with a bow are a set of three floral embroidered handkerchiefs.
They are all cotton and were made in Switzerland - the original sticker label that says that is still in the box! The handkerchiefs are in mint condition.
Each one has an embroidered flower arrangement on the front with leaves and stem. One is yellow, one is pink and one is blue.
The edges of each hanky are scalloped and have embroidered trim along the scalloped edge.
Up to the mid century, ladies nearly always had a handkerchief like this handy. Handkerchiefs were quite a popular and "safe" gift item for both men and for women. Once disposable tissues become more popular, they became less popular.
Just a thought:
A friend of mine always keeps a beautiful handkerchief ready to give to as a gift for someone who has lost a loved one at a funeral - what a touching and beautiful idea. Especially when she gave one to me at such a time.
The gold foil covered cardboard box measures 10" x 10".
I have not opened the box so I am not able to provide the exact measurements of the three handkerchiefs but they appear to be "standard" size. The label says "full size".

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
