Vintage / Antique Costume Jewelry Purple Oval Faceted Glass Pin Brooch - Gold Tone Victorian Statement Jewelry
A lovely and dainty piece of antique Victorian costume jewelry in the form of a traditional type of oval brooch. The gold tone metal has some delicate openwork designs that frame the amethyst colored faceted glass. The large oval shaped faux stone is held in place with a beveled setting.
This pin or brooch has a pin on the back that slips into a curved metal hook piece that holds the pin in place. This type of open ended closure is old as more modern pins have a closed end.
This small Victorian brooch with the gold tone metal filigree edge is antique and is circa 1920s.
Measures approximately 1 1/4" long x 7/8" wide.
In nice antique condition. The gold tone plating is bright and intact on the front and back. Some light use marks here or there.
Great classic brooch that is feminine and eye-catching.
