Vintage ARABIA Finland 1940s Vase / Planter Arabia Suomi Finlandia Cream Blue Gold Triple Looped Handles Retro Home Decor Pipe Stamp 1932-49
Vintage Arabia Vase or planter from the WWII era that is a wide trophy shape with decorative triple looped handles. There is a design on the front and back that features a gold and blue flower. The outer portion of the flower bloom and the stem is a purplish blue and the inner flower (stamen) is gold. There are gold trim lines on rim of this retro vase, and on the outlines of the triple looped handles as well. The bottom is hallmarked in green with Arabia's Pipe Stamp which is a sketch of Arabia's first tunnel kiln. This Pipe Stamp hallmark was used from 1932 to 1949.
The inner portion of this Vase is an ivory or cream color - the same color as the outer background.
The bottom is hallmarked ARABIA SU0MI FINLANDIA with their stamp that was in use from approx. 1932 to 1949. It also says MADE IN FINLAND there.
This vintage vase or planter measures 6 3/4" high. The top opening is 6" in diameter. The base has a 3" diameter.
In nice vintage condition with no cracks or crazing. Some wear and chipping on the base as would be expected a vintage item - also has an area on the bottom section base that has some discoloration or a repair - see photos 8, 9 and 10. The gold trim is in nice shape and shows little wear, especially since this item is 80 plus years old - close to an antique in age. Item's price reflects its condition.
This piece is circa 1930-40s.
