Vintage Czech Ruby Red glass decanter with a clear glass stopper. The Bohemian style decanter is square has two different etched designs on the sides. The etched portion of the designs are clear so they really stand out. The fact that this is a square rather than round decanter also makes it unique.
Two sides of the decanter have a cluster of grapes and a grape leaf and the other two sides have a floral bouquet that appears to be roses. The top edge of the decanter has a faceted effect with three "cuts" along the bottom of each edge and a "cut" on each corner, giving the top of the red decanter a jewel-like look. The stopper is clear glass and has six sides or panels to it.
Measures 8 3/4" high with the stopper in. The red decanter alone is 6 1/2" high. Each of the four sides are approx. 2 2/3" wide. The top round section has a 2" diameter.
In nice vintage condition with no cracks. There is a chip on one side of the decanter - see photo closeup # 10 and fleabite chips on the upper rim / lip. Wear commensurate with vintage age. Some wear on the stopper where it goes into the decanter as one would expect. Item's price reflects these conditions.
