Vintage Imperial Purple Slag Glass Amethyst Footed Bowl Open Rose Pattern - Retro Home Decor - Purple & White Glass Mid Century Retro Dish

Sorry, this item has sold.

Fantastic three-footed amethyst slag glass bowl by Imperial Glass Company that was made in the mid century.

This vintage bowl or three footed dish is in the Open Rose pattern. The heavy slag glass features white milk glass marbled through purple to create several shades of purple throughout the piece. There is a relief design of three open roses and leaves in the center.

This bowl stands on three small carved feet and has a crimped rim or ruffled edge. The ruffles are of different sizes around the bowl with three small ruffles between each larger one. There is a slight ribbing below each of the crimped edges giving the glass more texture.

Measures 8” wide by 3 1/8” tall.

It has the Imperial Glass Company’s mark (raised capital over top a G) on the bottom, which was used from 1951-1977 - see last photo.

In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. On the bottom side between two of the small pedestal feet is an elongated U shape strand of glass that is molded in the glass - it was there in production. All in all, this mid century home decor piece is still just beautiful.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
