Beautiful blue satin glass bowl made by Fenton in the 1970s or early 1980s. Features an embossed design of orange blossoms on trees in a ring around the outside of the bowl. On the inside is a ring of cherries, swirls and vines. The bowl has a scalloped rim on the top edge. The bottom has a slight 1/4” high pedestal base. It is signed FENTON in the bottom.
Satin glass is a piece of glass that has been chemically treated to give it a satin finish. The term "satin glass" is frequently used to refer to a collectible type of pressed glass. The Fenton company produced various pieces of Satin glass

The bowl is approx. 8" in diameter. It is 3 1/4" high.
Weighs more than 2 lbs. before packaging for shipment - quite a hefty piece.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light wear on bottom.
Signed "Fenton" on the bottom. The Fenton Art Glass Company, founded in 1905 by the brothers Frank and John Fenton, was the largest manufacturer of handmade colored glass in the United States and was one of the well known glass manufacturers in the world. The company produced glass pieces with beautiful colors and patterns like carnival glass and this piece of satin glass and many others that are collectible decor pieces from yesteryear.
