Sweet vintage poodle from the mid century. This poodle has pink gray fur, a red smile, arched brown eyebrows and eyes lined in light blue. She wears a pale purple bonnet that is adorned with a floral sprat of pink and green flowers and is tied with a wide pink and blue striped ribbon. She also has a bold collar around her neck that has a small ring for a tag hanging from it. Her body has some "fur" that has a bit of gold flecked through it on her her chest, ears, feet and tail. Her nose is quite turned up!
The bottom near her legs has the original JAPAN sticker with white dark blue. This pup from Japan is typical of ceramic collectible figurines that were popular and imported from Japan into the US after WWII. It is circa 1950s.
Measures 6 1/3" high and is about 3" wide at widest point. From tip of nose to back of head, she is about 2 1/2" deep.
In very nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light discoloration on under her feet commensurate with vintage age.
