Vintage Brass Bookend Nature Bird Decor - Ornate 3D Brass Stand Bookend circa 1930-40 Vintage Home Decor w/ Tree & Egret Heron Bird

$20.40

Sorry, this item has sold.

Ornate brass bookend in the shape of a natural scene. There are flowing trees and foliage in the background and an egret or heron with its beak upturned in front. He appears to be standing in water. This single bookend is made of brass and is circa 1930-1950s.

Wonderful design to showcase a book collection or even to use as a stand alone home decor item. This natural scene depicted in this single bookend has an Art Deco look to the design. At one time, it appears to feature two egrets or standing birds facing each other as there are a pair of feet and posts where the legs would have been. See photos for detail. Still a great vintage natural scene for a mantle or bookcase.

Measure approx. 6" high by 5" wide at widest point. It is 3 1/4" deep.

Nice vintage condition with light patina.

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
