Kitschy Black Glass Head Bust - Vintage Display Piece - Retro Decor Heavy Glass Face or Bust Statue

Sorry, this item has sold.

Very kitschy and rather eye-catching black glass head that was used in circa 1970s for displaying glasses, hats and headgear in shops. This vintage piece features a bald head on a round base. It is hollow yet heavy as it is all glass. The glass is molded into this head shape and has a center seam. It is hard to tell whether this form is male or female but it has well shaped ears, eyes, nose and mouth.

Heavy piece that weighs more than 4 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.

Measures about 11" high and is 7" wide from front of nose to back of head. The glass head is about 6" across the top of the skull at its widest point.

This retro bit of unique decor from yesteryear is in great vintage condition with no cracks and lots of shine. As this items is circa 1970s, and nearly 50 years old, there are light use marks as would be expected a vintage item - see photos #9 and #10 where there is some small chipping of glass .

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
