Description: Small footed apothecary beaker. This glass is hand blown, heavy and hand etched. It measures 4 oz. One side of the top has a spout for pouring.
It also has a maker's mark for Whitall Tatum Co., one of the earlier glass companies known for it's glass insulators. Inside the Diamond reads "Whitall Tatum Co., Guaranteed Accurate, NY PHILA".
The Oz markings start at 1/2, goes to 1, 2, 3, and ends at 4 oz.
There are etched marking indicating 1/2 and 1/4 of an ounce.
Size: Measures 5 1/2'' tall, 2 3/4'' across the top, 2 1/2'' across the pedestal base.
Condition: Very good antique condition. No chips or cracks. Some use marks on the bottom and here or there on the piece. Note that it is a hand blown glass piece and there are bubbles present (indicating it was hand blown). There is one very small flea bite on the very bottom that is only noticeable upon detailed inspection and wouldn't appear in photos. Price reflects condition.
Would be a great piece of home decor or for use in a medical or apothecary display.
