Vintage LARGE Sterling Silver & Red Stone Pendant Necklace - Mod Heavy Red Oval on Vintage 925 Silver Braided S Link 19" Chain Boho Jewelry
An eyeful of an Estate Jewelry necklace of Sterling Silver and red stone. This very large oval pendant that is quite striking. The red stone is set with a thick frame of silver making it even more of a statement necklace. The bale is also quite large and has a wide shape that is necessary as the pendant itself is substantial. The bale has a decorative ridge in the center. Even the back side of this pendant has a wide frame of silver - see photos for detail. (I am not certain what the red stone may be but I would guess it is red coral. )
The pendant is 2" long including the bale and 1 1/3" long without the bale. It is 1/4" thick.
This eye-catching pendant necklace is on a Sterling Silver braided "S" link chain that was made in Italy. The chain is about 19" long without the pendant. The spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.
Back of the bale of the pendant is hallmarked 925. The chain is marked ITALY and 925 on the link near the clasp, and also 925 on the clasp.
Pendant with chain weigh 31 grams together - a hefty piece of mid century jewelry that would fabulous worn against black or white clothing.
The necklace has some wear consistent with its vintage age.
