Vintage Crown Gibsons Staffordshire England Teapot Off White and Gold - English Georgian Style China Tea Pot Flowers Gold Spout & Handle

$37.80

Sorry, this item has sold.

Vintage Gibsons England ivory and gold teapot with the design of florals and solid gold color on the spout, handle and knob of the lid. I believe this teapot is circa 1950s.

Measures 5" high and is 10" wide from spout to handle.

The bottom is embossed Gibsons England and is hand marked 208 M in gold on the bottom as well with the Company's hallmark in gold.

The teapot comes in in nice antique or vintage condition without any chips or cracks. Lots of crazing inside and in the bottom - see photos for detail. Very slight loss of gold on rim consistent with age of this item - see photos. Item price reflects this condition.

NOTE:
Gibsons was founded in 1875 by Samuel Gibson in Staffordhire, England. Gibsons earthenware teapots were produced until 1965 when the factory was relocated from Burslem to Shelton.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
