A peaceful family portrayed in subtle colors on this depiction of the Holy Family. This RR Roman Co. vintage resin wall plaque of Mary, Joseph and the child Jesus features colors that are blue, green, brown, tan, cream, gold and a bit of pink on the centers of the flowers that St. Joseph holds. They are soft and muted and the faces are serene - both Mary and Joseph appear to have their eyes closed, as if in prayer or contemplation.
The 3 figures have some dimension - they are not flat on the plaque.
This appears to have never been used and it comes with the original box, which is quite worn but held this religious wall hanging safely for many years. The woman I purchased this from said it was given to her as a child and is circa 1970s.
This plaque is made of resin, is rather lightweight and has MADE IN ITALY stamped on the back as well as the hallmark "R R" for the RR Roman Company, a maker of religious statues, figurines and plaques since 1963.
The plaque or wall hanging of the Holy Family measures approx. 7 3/4" long x 3" wide.
There is a hook on the top back for hanging.
