Vintage Ellgreave Ironstone Teapot with Lid - Cream / White with Blue Flowers Gold Trim - Div Wood & Sons England Tea Pot Kitchen Serving

Sorry, this item has sold.

This lovely white with blue florals ironstone teapot made in England by *Ellgreave and has a great traditional shape. There are larger blue flowers and some smaller teal flowers with a light and darker olive green color used on the stems and leaves. Gold accents the spout, handle, base, upper rim, lid and knob on the top of the lid. The handle is quite unique with a few added swirls to its shape and trim accents.

*NOTE: The Ellgreave Pottery Co was founded by Wood and Sons in 1921. Ellgreave's main production was in teapots and quality domestic earthenware.

Measures 5 ½” tall with the lid and 10” from handle to spout. The bottom of the teapot is stamped "Ellgreave, A Div. of Wood & Sons, England, Genuine Ironstone"

Very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Color and gold trim is in very nice shape as I don't think this teapot was in use - see photos. This may have been for display purposes only as it had a protective netting on the spout. The only wear appears to be some discoloration on the bottom.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
