Small lugged bowl by Stangl that was made between 1950 and 1978. There are a cluster of blueberries in the center with green leaves in a white circle on the base of these bowls. The background is a yellow or orangish yellow. There is also a yellow and a white band on the outside. The bottom bases are a rusty brown.
I have two of these bowls. They must have been fired in different batches as one is more yellow and one has a orange/yellow background color. You can purchase either one or both.
They are both marked STANGL POTTERY, Trenton NJ and BLUE BERRY. The yellow bowl has a DR in green painted near the stamp. The more orange/yellow bowl has a green E painted near the stamp.
The yellow background bowl is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light wear commensurate with vintage age.
The more yellow/orange bowl has 2 chips on the rusty brown colored rim, and a chip on the green handle. Item's price reflects these conditions. See photos for more detail. Light wear commensurate with vintage age.
Measure 6 1/4" in diameter.

The orange/yellow color on these bowls does not match. I would have preferred to get two of the same orange/yellow shade. As they sit on my table, it is very obvious they are different firings. It would have been better to send a closer-color matched pair. Sad.
