This vintage ivory colored bust of a lovely woman that I believe was made circa mid century that depicts a woman from the late 1800s or early 1900s. The statue or bust is a light tan or ivory color with some contrasting shading with gold / dark green here and there. Her hair is in a bun accented with two gold tone roses, and the low cut dress has puffy shoulders. A dark green/gold bow accents the base of her bust line. There are speckles in the paint all over the bust giving it a shabby chic look.
This appears to be chalkware material - light chipping of the paint to show this is underneath is on the back side of her shoulder puff - see photo #9 for detail.
The statue has a very dark brown felt bottom lining which is still in place - see photos.
The perfect item for a library, bedroom, on a piano to inspire, or a living room to lend some classical (and retro) feel.
In nice vintage condition with the original paint/finish. No cracks with light chipping commensurate with vintage age.
She is 12" tall and 7" wide at widest part.
