A vintage mid century white, black and red ceramic rooster that is truly an eye-catcher. The body of this rooster is an ivory with black feather accents and a red comb on his head. His beak, eyes, and feet are a yellow orange. There is a little bit of pink on the inside of his mouth. This decorative chicken is very expressive as his head is slightly turned sideways and tilted to one side as he appears to be crowing. Great black shading on his tail feathers.
The original red foil LEFTON EXCLUSIVES JAPAN sticker is still intact on the bottom. There are also 5 brown round felt pads.
Great country farmhouse or cottage chic decor item.
Measures approx. 8 1/4" high and is 5 1/2" wide at the widest point. Base is 4" x 3".
In nice vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Light wear on the paint commensurate with vintage age - see photos for detail.
This rooster still has something to crow about - looks great and only shows his age when looking at the bottom - circa 1950s.
