Description: Gorgeous Hayward locket in a round shape with an embossed flower on the center of the front of the locket. The back is plain. This locket is signed by the Massachusetts based jeweler, Walter E. Hayward, on the bottom of the right inside. The hallmark says WEH GF - WEH is for the Walter E. Hayward Company and the GF for GOLD FILLED.
The vintage locket has two places waiting to hold photographs inside. Locket closes securely.
This locket is on a long but dainty vintage 14K gold filled chain with a clasp and ring. It is marked 1/20 14K GF. Clasp closes securely.
Measurements:
Chain - 22" in length
Locket - 1 1/8" in diameter.
Weighs 6.5 grams total - locket and chain together.
Condition: In nice vintage condition with light wear as would be expected a vintage item. Some light use marks on the back (see close up photos). It looks like there may have been Niello at one time outlining the flower but it is now only on the bottom portion. Gives it a whimsical/shabby chic look - so feminine and pretty!
