Vintage Redware Teapot - Hand painted Pottery Shabby Chic Florals Dark Brown/Black Metal Handle - Kitchen Serving Home Decor Display

Sorry, this item has sold.

Vintage redware teapot that is a perfect Shabby Chic piece with it's mid century age, chippy paint on a very dark brown, almost black background. The design on the front has fruit with some fruit hand painted in red, yellow, green, and blue paint that has chipped off here and there. The back has three green leaves, also delightfully chippy. The lid has a knob with a great arrow (air flow) shape. The base of this teapot has some horizontal rounded ribs. There are three small pedestal feet on its bottom side.

There is a coiled wire metal handle on the top that has rusted.

Teapot is circa 1940s - 1950s.

This country cottage retro teapot is in nice vintage condition with no cracks. There are chips on the spout and under the lid showing the redware pottery. Some wear to the paint as would be expected an earthenware item of this age. Rust on the metal handle.

Measures 5 1/2" high with the lid on and is 7" across from the top of the spout to the other side. Handle is 8" high when fully extended.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
