A beautiful vintage sterling silver round shaped locket that is on Italian box link sterling chain. It is hallmarked TT - 44 and MEXICO on the inside of the bale.
NOTE: This Mexican silver hallmark of TT - 44 means that this piece was made in Taxco, Mexico sometime circa 1979, the artist's name began with a T, and she/he was the 44th artist to register a mark with the city's assay office.
The chain is marked 925 and ITALY on the link near the spring ring clasp.
Condition: The locket is in nice vintage condition with light wear consistent with vintage age - 1980s. Some light wear marks. The locket closes securely with a snap. Chain clasp closes securely.
Size: Locket measures approx. 1" long (1 1/2'' including the bale) and about 1" wide. Vintage sterling box link chain is 18" long.
Weighs 5.8 grams with both locket and chain.
Locket is plain on the front and back and could be engraved if you wish!
