The New Art Studio of Chicago, IL created this subtly mustard yellow colored chalkware wall shelf. This large ornate chalkware shelf is very typical of home decor items from the late mid century, and it is quite heavy. There are a few places where some gold has been added to accent this shelf. It has a rough finish and quite a bit of texture.
The copyright, New Art Studios Inc. and Copyright 1964 are on the side of this retro piece. Also there is the name BERGIO, probably the designer. There is a wire on the back for hanging this chalkware shelf with its ornate Regency design.
The chalkware plaque is in very nice vintage condition with no chips, cracks and the colors in nice shape with wear commensurate with its vintage age.
Measures approx. 17" wide, 8" high and is 5 1/2" deep.
Weighs over 7 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
