Description: This Anvil large triple pulley features blonde wood blocks, red cast iron sheaves, and a red cast iron hook. The manufacturer stamp is about the size of a quarter and features an anvil.
Measurements: 15" long including hook x 4" wide x 5 1/2" high
Weight: Approx. 7lbs
Condition: The cast iron is red and all of the moving parts work. It's in good vintage condition. There is some surface wear. Please see pictures as they give the best description. There are scratches and scuffs, consistent with use and age. The sheaves turn freely.
Items such as these are indeed vintage. They 50-100 years old and have been used (often heavily) by the previous owners. If items are wobbly, have loose nails, significant damage, sharp edges or the sturdiness is compromised, it will be noted in the item description. Otherwise please expect items to have small dings, wear and use marks/scratches.
About pulleys: A pulley can cut the amount of force needed to lift an object in half! Not surprisingly, there were several pulleys in the eaves of every barn roof to help farmers haul hay into their lofts. They are also exceptional at hoisting heavy sails on ships.

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
